The Rotary Club of Burton-Middlefield (BMR) chartered on April 23, 1951, with 29 members. The Club now has over 40 members representing a cross-section of Burton-Middlefield’s business, educational, and professional leaders. The local club activities provide BMR with the opportunity to serve, to develop good will, and to foster better friendships. With the assistance of Burton/Middlefield Rotary Club, Next Step has been a grateful recipient of funds raised by the Maple Splash Raffle. The money and goods have been a HUGE support and have allowed us to operate the Next Step house so that homeless young adults can have a safe and supportive home as they work towards becoming independent adults.

The Burton-Middlefield Rotary Club supports many nonprofits in Geauga County including ours! “Now That’s What I’m Talking About!” summer lunch program has been providing lunches for children in Geauga County since 2019. The Rotary’s financial assistance allows us to continue making sure children are not going hungry during the summer.

Since our beginning in 2016, Red Tulip has felt the support of Burton Middlefield Rotary Club. The partnership has grown through networking, tangible donations of labor, materials, funding and a desire to help people in our community overcome and advert the tragedies of addiction. Together, we have raised awareness, built a beautiful home for women in recovery and opened paths for men and women to build futures free from addiction. It has been a true joint effort.
